'Caged Bird; Life, Death & Legacy' [MOVIE OF AALIYAH TRAILER] 2009

Aaliyah Dana Haughton (January 16, 1979 – August 25, 2001), Talented. Beautiful. Modest. These three words described R&B singer-turned-actress Aaliyah perfectly. Born in Brooklyn, New York but raised in Detroit, Aaliyah got her first major exposure appearing on the syndicated television series "Star Search" (1983) where she awed the audience with her amazing voice and talent. Withdrawing from the celebrity scene for a few years, Aaliyah lived the life of a normal teenage girl, attending Detroit's Performing Arts High School where she majored in dance. In 1992, she began to work on her debut album with the help of singer R. Kelly. The album, "Age Ain't Nothing But A Number" was released in 1994 and received heavy praise. In 1995, she began to work on her 2nd album, alongside Jermaine Dupri, Tim Mosley, Slick Rick and Missy 'Misdemeanor' Elliott'. The album, titled 'One In A Million' was released on August 27th 1996. In 1998 she released the single, 'Are you that somebody?' from the Doctor Dolittle (1998) soundtrack, it was produced by her friends Tim Mosley. Later that year she released the single 'Journey to the past', from the Anastasia (1997) soundtrack. In 2000, she made her film acting debut and starred as Trish O'Day in the smash hit, hip-hop, kung fu film, Romeo Must Die (2000) alongside Jet Li. The producer was so impressed by her performance she got parts in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions (2003).

In early August of the same year she filmed the video for the single 'More Than a woman', taken off the album and on the 23rd August she started filming for 'Rock The Boat', on Abaco Island, in the Bahamas. On 25th August, filming was completed and her and eight of her crew members including her hair stylist and bodyguard boarded a small plane. Shortly after take off, the plane crashed and exploded, Aaliyah and all on board, perished. Aaliyah's funeral was held on Friday August 31st in New York, and 22 white doves were flown to celebrate each year of her life. Soon after her death, the hit singles 'More Than a woman' and 'Rock The Boat' were released from her third album. In 2002, the film Queen of the Damned (2002) by Anne Rice was released in which Aaliyah played the lead, Queen Akasha. She was nominated for best Villain at the MTV movie awards 2002.

Trade Mark
Usually covered her left eye with her hair.
Often wore sunglasses in front of the covered left eye.
Usually wore black leather, or white clothing in her music videos.
Had on black nail polish in nearly all of her music videos.

I guess it time. The Aaliyah movie!!! I am Aaliyah's biggest fan. I was so excited when I found out that they are in the works for a true life story about Aaliyah. This is the chosen lady that will be playing Aaliyah...Keisha Chante. It's scary cause she truly resemble Aaliyah. Let me know what you guys think.

Manicure/Pedicure (being pampered by my sister Nari)

Ok anyone and everyone can stereotype all they want but my sister got skills. She do nails!!! Not only her but I can do them as well. hahaha. People might say all Asians do nails but Ha regardless of race when whom and whoever need their nails done "Where do ya go???" To an Asian spot (Don't get me wrong some of them are horrible, I agree). I hear it all the time "Asian people can do nails"...Hmm that's because we like to pamper ourselves, we like to keep our stuff fresh, so what do we sit back and say "Why not make money out of it?" So what I can say is one of my goals is to own my own shop...Sisterly Owned...If ya have a problem with that ya can kiss my @$$$ Cause I will be the one that will be bankin hahaha

She did the white tips on my toes and gold tips on my finger nails. I wish ya can see them on my finger nails but its almost the color of my skin in the picture. But it looks really good. I like to try different things on my nails.

Anyways once I found out that she can do nails and she love doing it. I totally stop going to the shop and started growing my nails out (all real baby) and have her do them. I went out and bought all of the supplies and it was a wrap from then on. My best friend Brandi also bought me a relaxing spa foam bath machine for me to soak my foot in (thank you). And I love it. I will be going to cosmetology school to get my nail license to become a nail technician in March and will graduate the end of June. My sister will go and get hers once she graduate from high school in June...Be on the lookout for us :)

Officially 24

I turned 24 yesterday December 22. LOL I get teased a lot cause people say that's still a baby or the people I'm around is older than I am which is cool I learned a lot from them. But what I can say is that I am a women. A smart one at that. I had a WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY. I can't ask for anything better. I didn't go out. It was too cold and to be honest I'm startin to become more of a home body unless it's pertaining to business then I will step out. But I'd rather stay in and be comfy with my love ones. My birthday started off on Sunday then it carried onto Monday. I had dinner and a movie and my gift was...aahh (speechless). Anyways enough about that.

I can sit back and say I met some interesting and great people in my life. I learned a lot and accomplished a lot. I'm apart of a company that I love and is driven and passionate about. My kids are healthy, my family and friends support me and got my back 150 percent. What I can say is that I wished I have done more. But at the same time I live life with no regrets. Just have to learn from it and make changes and think more smarter and wiser at everything that I do. Now its time to push it to the limit. I am ready for anything and everything that will come my way. I set goals that I will accomplish before I turned 25. 2009 I am ready. IT WILL BE A GREAT YEAR...

Entourage..."Ari Gold is leaving broadway"

OK if you guys watch entourage all i have to say that this is very devastating. I love Ari. It wouldn't be the same with out him...Read Below and this is the reason why he is leaving.

NEW YORK, New York -- Jeremy Piven is ending his run in Broadway's "Speed-the-Plow," due to a condition caused by a high mercury count, according to Variety.
The "Entourage" star missed a Tuesday evening performance and a Wednesday matinee due to his high mercury count health concerns, but David Mamet, the playwright of "Speed-the-Plow," appears skeptical of the actor's exit.

"I talked to Jeremy on the phone, and he told me that he discovered that he had a very high level of mercury," Mamet told the entertainment trade mag. "So my understanding is that he is leaving show business to pursue a career as a thermometer."But, the show will go on said Mamet.
"The good news is that some really great actors will be helping out and stepping in, which to me is a sign of great heroism and friendship," the playwright added, but declined to name who would be stepping for Piven.

A rep for Piven told Variety that the actor wanted to continue his Broadway stint, but was advised by a team of doctors to end his run immediately.
Piven is best known for his role on "Entourage," playing manic Hollywood agent Ari Gold.

Wow their second baby...

The Raymond household got an early Christmas present as Usher and Tameka welcomed their new baby, Naviyd Ely Raymond, around 2:33 A.M. on Wednesday. The baby weighs in at 5 pounds and 13 ounces, according to Usher's rep Simone Smalls of Simone Smalls Public Relations. In September, the Grammy-winning singer and celebrity stylist confirmed they were expecting a second son together following the birth of Usher Raymond V in November 2007.

"Tameka and the baby are doing fine," said Smalls in a written statement.
Usher exclusively introduced his namesake to the world on the cover of ESSENCE in August and shared how fatherhood gave his life new meaning and joy. "When your child looks at you, there's nothing phony," he said. "There's nothing fake about it. It's pure love."

In September 2007, the couple married in a private Atlanta ceremony among family and friends while Tameka was five months pregnant. This makes the second child for Usher and fifth for Tameka, CEO of Swanky Image Group and Hides and Dungarees Denim Collection.Usher wrapped his One Night Stand tour in support of his fifth album, "Here I Stand," in November and continues to work on his upcoming lingerie collection, a follow-up to his UR fragrance line. The ATL pop phenom is also co-owner of Atlanta wine bar The Grape as well as the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers. He also works closely with his foundation, Usher's New Look, which empowers youth in inner-city communities.
